LETTERS FROM THE LAKESIDE
As fall gives way to winter in the Upstate of South Carolina, the landscape shifts in subtle but familiar ways. Crisp mornings replace the lingering warmth of autumn, hardwood trees stand bare after their final burst of color, and shorter days bring earlier sunsets over neighborhoods like Heritage Lakes. So far this winter, Heritage Lakes has yet to see a snowfall, a reminder of how unpredictable Upstate winters can be. Snow is never guaranteed, but it is never entirely off the table either. Will we get snow this year? Are you hoping we do?

As we move into the winter season, the Board thanks every resident for their cooperation, engagement, and community spirit throughout 2025. We wish you and your families a peaceful holiday season and a happy, healthy New Year.

ANNUAL MEETING
At this year’s Annual Meeting, the Board reviewed:

2025 operating expenses
Ongoing and future maintenance needs
Budget for the upcoming year
Community priorities and concerns

As discussed at the Annual Meeting, HOA dues will increase for the upcoming year. Dues for 2026 are $625. This adjustment is necessary to address rising operational costs, ensure adequate reserve funding, and maintain community amenities—particularly the pool, landscaping, and infrastructure.

BOARD TRANSITIONS
We extend our sincere thanks to the following board members who will be stepping down this year. Your service and dedication are truly appreciated.

Matthew Anderson who has served as Board President, Treasurer and I.T. services over the course of the last 3 years.
Angela Green who has served as a board member managing our Clubhouse Manager for over 14 years.

We also welcome the newly installed board members:

Gary Page in the position of Treasurer.
Dawn Kovach as Clubhouse Manager.

We look forward to their leadership and service to the community.

NEW POOL COMPANY!
We are pleased to announce that Clarity Pools will be taking over pool maintenance this year. The change was made to improve service reliability, maintenance quality, and overall resident experience. Service will be 6 days a week so we'll need help from the community on Sundays to check chemical levels. If you'd like to add yourself to a list of volunteers willing to help, email us.

CONDOLENCES...
We understand that our community has experienced the passing of a resident this year. On behalf of the Heritage Lakes Community Property Owners Association, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

BARRON PARK
The morning of November 8th found several residents and friends gathered for a special, impromptu unveiling of a new community sign—created as a token of appreciation for Brian and Debbie Barron.

For decades, the Barrons have devoted their time, energy, and care to Heritage Lakes, consistently going above and beyond to keep our community looking its very best. Their unwavering commitment and countless hours of service have left an enduring impact on all of us, and thus, we were thrilled to dedicate Barron Park.

On behalf of the entire Heritage Lakes community—Thank you, Brian and Debbie, for your years of dedication, leadership, and love for our neighborhood.

GOOD BOY....
Yes, we know... you've already heard that whenever you take your dogs for a walk they need to be on a leash. But my dog is very well trained and doesn't need to be on a leash! We believe you, but the law in Greenville County is that all dogs, regardless of training, must be on a leash when in public spaces. That includes our community streets and walking paths.

Why are we telling you this again? Because we continue to receive complaints from residents about the issue. We love our neighbors and want them to feel safe and secure. We love our dogs and we want to keep them safe, too. Please do your part and keep them on a leash. If you're lucky, your 'good boy' will remind you just like the good boy pictured!
